Royal Exchange partners NGO for youth development

 poised to instil leadership spirit among Nigerian youth, Risk Company Royal Exchange Plc Wednesday announced its partnership with a Non-Governmental Organisation, foundation for youth education towards a leadership training conference for secondary schools Prefects in Lagos.

The event which took place  today at Igbobi College Lagos brought over 800 secondary School prefects drawn from 40 schools across Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, the Group Managing Director of Royal Exchange Plc, Mr. Chike Mokwunye said that the company is motivated by an abiding sense of duty and patriotism to contribute to the nurturing the Nigeria youth to be productive and responsible citizen.

He said “The students attempting the conference are already in position of authority in their respective schools and we want a situation where they will continue to be seen as examples for other to follow. At the end of the training, we expect the prefects to be role models, ready to lead, direct and positively influence others around them,” he said.

He added that Royal Exchange brand is well known for its empathy and high sense of patriotism. This partnership reflects our belief in the potential of the Nigerian spirit and the ability of the Nigerian youth to soar and excel in their chosen filed when given the opportunity.

Speaking further the Co-ordinator of the foundation for youth Education, Patrick Ajogwu said that the NGO was founded with the aim of instilling academic excellence, promoting qualitative education and leadership attitude development.

According to him the aim of the conference which is in its fourth edition  is to enable students start early by developing the necessary leadership skills.

He noted that the conference seek to also assist the students counselling and giving them direction as they begin to make their career decision.

Royal Exchange has been sponsoring the school leadership conference for the past three years  and has also sponsored the Nigerian Idol.
